Surgical treatment of ovarian cysts

Surgical treatment of ovarian cysts

Surgical treatment of ovarian cysts:

Ovarian cysts, in simple terms, are masses or even tumors on female ovaries. Currently, the most effective treatment is surgery. Of course, local excision or total hysterectomy can also be performed according to specific circumstances. Of course, whether to perform surgery and what type of surgery should be performed also needs to be determined based on the patient's own situation, especially the need for fertility.

1. Local excision surgery

As the name implies, local resection of ovarian cysts is to directly remove the lesion site of the ovarian cyst and the surrounding tissues that may be affected. The advantage of local surgery is that it can ensure the integrity of the female uterine appendages and maintain the normal fertility of women. It is suitable for female patients with mild ovarian cysts and fertility needs.

2. Hysterectomy and oophorectomy

If the ovarian cyst is benign, conservative treatment or local excision can be adopted, and the curative effect is guaranteed. However, if the patient's ovarian cyst is very serious and has a serious impact on the patient's health, and the female patient has no fertility requirements, hysterectomy and ovary adnexa can be performed. In this way, the recurrence rate of ovarian cysts will be greatly reduced.

3. Conservative treatment

In fact, in most cases, patients, especially young women, ovarian cysts are benign and have no tendency to worsen. In this case, surgical treatment is not required, regular observation and examination are required, and the decision on whether to perform surgical treatment is roughly based on the results of each examination.

Childbirth is the most sacred thing for women, but many effects of ovarian cysts can seriously affect women's childbirth, so women must pay attention to regular physical examinations, especially after some obvious symptoms appear, go to the hospital as soon as possible and actively cooperate with the doctor's treatment plan.
