Which women are prone to candidal vaginitis?

Which women are more likely to suffer from vaginitis, which has a great impact on women's health?

1. Pregnancy: During pregnancy, sex hormone levels are significantly higher than usual, which can increase the glycogen content of vaginal epithelial cells and increase vaginal acidity, forming an environment that is conducive to the growth of Candida albicans. At the same time, pregnancy can reduce the immunity of cells, making Candida albicans more susceptible to illness. According to statistics, 1/3 of pregnant women have Candida albicans in their vagina, with an incidence rate of about 15%.

2. Widespread use of broad-spectrum antibiotics: There are usually many bacteria in the female vagina. These different flora restrict each other, forming a symbiotic state and not causing disease. The widespread and long-term use of broad-spectrum antibiotics causes the vaginal flora to become disordered, inhibit each other, and cause Candida albicans to multiply in large numbers. With the widespread use of antibiotics, the incidence of candidal vaginitis is also rising.

3. Suffering from a serious disease that reduces resistance, or lack of vitamin B complex, candidal vaginitis is also prone to occur.

4. Diabetes: After developing diabetes, sugar metabolism is disrupted, blood sugar rises, and the glycogen content in vaginal epithelial cells increases, which also increases vaginal acidity, making it suitable for the growth and reproduction of Candida albicans.

5. Use of corticosteroids: Long-term use of corticosteroids can reduce the phagocytic ability of white blood cells and reduce human immunity; at the same time, corticosteroids can also increase human blood sugar levels and increase the possibility of candidal vaginitis.

6. Use of immunosuppressants: can reduce the body's immunity and make it more susceptible to candidal vaginitis.

7. Application of estrogen: Estrogen can deposit glycogen in vaginal epithelial cells. These glycogens are decomposed into lactic acid under the action of vaginal lactobacilli, increasing vaginal acidity and facilitating the growth of Candida albicans.
