Where should I have surgery for ovarian cysts and what should I pay attention to after surgery

Ovarian cyst surgery is one of the most commonly used treatments, but it is risky and prone to infection. So, where can ovarian cyst surgery be performed? What should you pay attention to after the surgery?

Ovarian cysts are a type of ovarian tumor that can be benign or malignant. After an ovarian cyst is discovered, it should first be diagnosed as benign or malignant, and then the appropriate treatment should be selected based on the patient's actual situation.

Sometimes the ovaries change like cysts, but there are cysts, such as polycystic ovaries, corpus luteum cysts, ovarian endometriosis, etc. Although these diseases can also appear on the ovaries, they are different from ovarian cysts.

The location of ovarian cyst surgery depends on whether the cyst is benign or malignant, and it is not necessarily a lower abdominal surgery. The following points must be noted after surgery for ovarian cysts:

1. Ovarian cysts must be checked regularly after surgery. Once the diagnosis is clear, surgery should be performed as soon as possible. Malignant ovarian tumors should be treated with surgery, radiotherapy and chemotherapy.

2. Follow-up observation: Cysts with a diameter of less than 5 cm may be non-vegetative cysts, most of which can disappear on their own, but regular follow-up is necessary. If there is an increase, surgery should be performed immediately.

Ovarian cysts may recur after surgery, which is not good for patients. Patients should pay attention to the precautions after ovarian cyst surgery, mainly including regular physical examinations at the hospital. Examinations include internal examinations, B-ultrasound, etc. If the surgery is thorough, benign multilocular papillary mucinous cystadenoma is generally not easy to recur. Clinically, 20%~30% of this disease occurs bilaterally, but there is no specific medicine to treat this disease.

Surgical treatment of ovarian cysts is prone to infection and recurrence, so postoperative care is very important and patients should pay more attention.
