Ovarian cysts can lead to pregnancy but how to prevent it

Can you get pregnant with ovarian cysts? How to prevent it?

The ovaries are where the eggs develop, mature, and are released. The follicles at different stages are located in the ovarian cortex. If the ovaries are damaged, the development, maturation, and release of the eggs will be impaired, which will lead to infertility. Ovarian cysts are a type of ovarian tumor, and the mechanism of infertility caused by them is related to interference with ovulation function.

Whether you can get pregnant after suffering from ovarian tumor depends on its nature and size. If it is benign and the tumor is only a small one, you can get pregnant first. However, if the ovarian tumor is larger than 5 centimeters, and the tumor is still there after 2 or 3 reexaminations and has a tendency to grow, you must have surgery first and wait for half a year before getting pregnant.

The specific measures for preventing ovarian cysts are introduced as follows:

1. Patients with polycystic ovary syndrome should focus on increasing exercise.

2. Eat a balanced diet, avoid obesity, and do not take medication to lose weight if you have polycystic ovary syndrome.

3. Patients with polycystic ovary syndrome should check and treat menstrual disorders as early as possible.

4. Adhere to treatment. Polycystic ovary syndrome not only causes irregular menstruation and infertility, but also increases the risk of diabetes and hypertension in the future. This disease requires lifelong treatment, so treatment should continue after pregnancy and childbirth.

5. Treat the disease correctly and do not act hastily. Although there are many ovulation-inducing drugs in clinical practice, they all have indications for polycystic ovary syndrome. Excessive or incorrect use will often deplete the follicle reserves in the ovaries and aggravate the condition. The above ovulation-inducing drugs should be used when there is a certain amount of estrogen reserves in the body.
