What is the left ovarian cyst and how is it formed?

Ovarian cysts have no obvious clinical manifestations in the early stages, and patients are often found only during gynecological examinations when they seek medical treatment for other diseases. Later, as the tumor grows, the patient will feel it, and the symptoms and signs vary depending on the nature, size, development, and presence or absence of secondary degeneration or complications of the tumor. What is a left ovarian cyst? How is it formed?

Ovarian cysts are a type of ovarian tumor in a broad sense. The most common patients are women aged 20-50, but people of all ages can be affected. It can be unilateral or bilateral. The patient's medical records will often indicate left-sided ovarian cysts, right-sided ovarian cysts, or all-ovarian cysts. Generally speaking, the incidence of left-sided ovarian cysts is generally higher. The ovaries are a pair of flat oval gonads located in the pelvic cavity. The ovaries of adult women are about 4CM×3CM×1CM in size and can produce eggs and sex hormones.

There are many reasons for ovarian cysts, including the following factors:

1. Environmental and lifestyle factors: food contamination, such as plant growth hormones used in vegetables, and hormone components such as clenbuterol in formula feeding of livestock and poultry.

2. Endocrine factors: Although the ovaries are small, they are important organs for producing eggs and ovulating, secreting endocrine hormones, and balancing endocrine system. Ovarian tumors often occur during the reproductive age when the endocrine system is active.

3. Genetic factors: About 20% to 40% of patients with ovarian cysts have a family history. The patient's mother, aunt, grandmother and other relatives have suffered from ovarian cysts, so such women have a higher chance of suffering from ovarian cysts.
