What to do if the endometrium is thick

What to do if the endometrium is thick

Endometrial thickening is also known as endometrial hyperplasia, which is a non-physiological, non-invasive abnormal proliferation of the endometrium. It can be relieved through general treatment, drug treatment, surgical treatment and other methods.

1. General treatment: Patients should maintain a regular schedule and avoid staying up late, which helps maintain endocrine stability. Eat more foods rich in nutrients such as vitamin E, iron, zinc, such as lean meat, eggs, beans, cereals and potatoes, and avoid eating too much greasy, spicy, irritating food, as well as cold, sour and spicy food, which may aggravate abnormalities in the endometrium.

2. Drug treatment: Endometrial hyperplasia is often related to hormone imbalance, especially high estrogen levels. Under the guidance of a doctor, you can use drugs such as dydrogesterone tablets, progesterone capsules, drospirenone ethinyl estradiol tablets, ethinyl estradiol cyproterone acetate tablets to regulate hormone levels and control the growth and shedding of the endometrium.

3. Surgical treatment: If the drug treatment is not effective and the thickness of the endometrium seriously affects the patient's normal life, curettage can be considered for treatment. Curettage can scrape off the excessively thick endometrium to achieve the purpose of treatment. For older patients who have no fertility requirements and are in serious condition, hysterectomy can be considered for treatment.

The use of drugs must be strictly in accordance with the doctor's instructions. Do not take drugs privately to avoid adverse effects. You should relax your mind and not be anxious or nervous. If you experience any discomfort, you should seek medical help as soon as possible.
