Mycotic vaginitis often recurs, and it recurs shortly after stopping the medication. Is it fungal vaginitis?

Candidal vaginitis generally refers to vulvovaginal candidiasis, which often recurs. Recurrence shortly after medication discontinuation may be due to flora disorder, low immunity, cross-infection, etc.

1. Dysbacteriosis:

Vulvovaginal candidiasis is an inflammation of the vulva caused by Candida. After the onset of the disease, patients will experience symptoms such as vulvar itching, local burning, and increased secretions, which seriously affect women's lives and health. If the vaginal flora is imbalanced during frequent medication, it is easy to relapse, so you should not frequently use vaginal washes.

2. Low immunity:

Under normal circumstances, there are Candida parasites in the female vagina, but usually in small numbers, without the ability to clean tissues, and will not cause inflammatory reactions. When a woman's own immunity decreases, it will cause Candida to multiply in large numbers, causing inflammatory reactions.

3. Cross infection:

If your partner has an inflammatory infection at the same time, and you are not properly protected while in the same room, and the couple does not seek treatment together, they will be directly infected through sexual intercourse, leading to repeated attacks. It is recommended that couples seek treatment together and not have sex during treatment.

In addition to the above reasons, it may also be due to indirect contact infection through clothing. Patients are advised to go to the obstetrics and gynecology department of the hospital in time if they feel unwell.
