What causes vulvar itching?

Vulvar itching is generally caused by bacterial vaginitis, vulvovaginal candidiasis, Trichomonas vaginitis, etc. It is recommended that patients seek timely treatment under the guidance of a doctor.

1. Bacterial vaginosis:

It may be that the patient does not pay attention to local hygiene, resulting in bacterial invasion, which will cause increased vaginal secretions. If it is not cleaned in time, it will irritate the local skin and cause vulvar itching. It can be treated with drugs such as metronidazole tablets, tinidazole tablets, and clindamycin hydrochloride capsules under the guidance of a doctor.

2. Vulvovaginal Candida infection:

It may be because you often wear tight synthetic underwear, which reduces your body's immunity and makes it easy for Candida to invade the tissues around the vagina, causing vulvovaginitis, manifested as vulvar itching, burning pain, increased vaginal secretions, etc. It can be treated under the guidance of a doctor with drugs such as clotrimazole vaginal tablets, miconazole nitrate suppositories, and nitrofurantoin vaginal soft capsules.

3. Trichomonas vaginitis:

It may be caused by vaginal Trichomonas infection, local reproduction, and inflammatory attacks, resulting in unclean sexual behavior and bad living habits. Patients usually show symptoms such as vulvar itching and increased vaginal discharge, which can be treated with drugs such as metronidazole tablets, tinidazole tablets, and metronidazole suppositories under the guidance of a doctor.

In addition to the common causes mentioned above, other possible causes include vulvar eczema, atrophic vaginitis, vulvar lichen sclerosus, etc., which can be treated under the guidance of a doctor.
