What does mid-period bleeding look like? What should I do?

Mid-term bleeding may be caused by factors such as ovulation, IUD placement, and vaginitis.

1. Ovulation period:

When a woman enters the ovulation period, the hormone levels in the body will fluctuate and the estrogen level will drop temporarily, which may cause mid-menstrual bleeding. This is a normal physiological phenomenon and generally does not require treatment because the amount of bleeding is relatively small and the duration is short.

2. Placement of IUD:

After a woman has an IUD placed, she may experience mild irritation to the uterine cavity, mid-term bleeding, backache, abdominal pain, and other symptoms. If this only happens occasionally, no special treatment is generally required, but if it happens frequently, you may need to consider removing the IUD.

3. Vaginitis:

The occurrence of vaginitis is related to infection factors, which may lead to increased vaginal discharge and vulvar itching. If active measures are not taken to treat it, the condition will become more serious, usually manifested as irregular bleeding, itching, and odor. Patients can use drugs such as miconazole nitrate suppositories, clotrimazole suppositories, and nystatin vaginal effervescent tablets under the guidance of a doctor.

In addition to the common causes mentioned above, it may also be cervical polyps, etc., and you need to go to a regular hospital for relevant examinations and symptomatic treatment based on the examination results. You should also be careful not to eat spicy and irritating foods, such as pepper, garlic, seafood, etc., so as not to affect the recovery of the disease.
