What does ovarian cyst mean? What are the types of ovarian cysts?

Ovarian cysts refer to the formation of ovarian cysts, which can be divided into tumors and non-tumors. Tumor cysts are ovarian tumors, and non-tumor cysts include ovarian functional cysts and endometriosis cysts.

Ovarian cysts are functional cysts of the ovaries, which are caused by excessive physiological responses of the ovaries themselves or drug stimulation. Patients with ovarian cysts generally have no symptoms, and a few may have menstrual disorders, which are mainly due to medical examinations for other reasons.

1. Qi stagnation and blood stasis type: There are lumps on one or both sides of the abdomen. Small lumps have no obvious symptoms, while large lumps cause palpitations, asthma, back pain, lower abdomen, constipation, frequent and urgent urination, and tongue congestion.

2. Cold-dampness and stasis type: Abdominal lumps, lower limb edema, abdominal and chest effusion, poor appetite and poor digestion.

3. Qi stasis and heat type: severe abdominal pain, abdominal distension, fever, chills, depression, weakness and fatigue, increased volume, thick and fishy smell. The common characteristics of various types are that ovarian cysts mostly occur on one side, with intact capsule, activity, smooth surface, no ascites, cystic, smooth cyst wall, uniform shape, slow progression, and long course of disease. Traditional medicine treatment warms the middle and dispels cold, regulates qi and transforms water, replenishes qi and nourishes blood, softens and removes blood stasis, and has better effects.
