Is it possible to be pregnant with an ovarian cyst? Does it require treatment?

Ovarian tumors are common tumors of the female genitalia, with different properties and forms, among which cysts are common and the degree of malignant changes is very high. Although ovarian cysts can affect pregnancy, ovarian cysts can be pregnant without compressing the follicles. However, pregnancy and ovarian cysts have many hazards to pregnant women:

1. In early pregnancy, a large tumor or one that is embedded in the pelvic cavity can easily cause miscarriage.

2. During labor, ovarian tumors will block the birth canal, leading to obstructive dystocia or uterine contractions. The head presentation of the baby will compress the tumor and cause it to rupture and bleed.

Ovarian cysts during pregnancy are very serious and must be treated aggressively. There are many issues to consider when treating ovarian cysts during pregnancy.

If the ovarian cyst is not large and does not hinder the growth of the uterus, it can be removed after delivery. If the pedicle is twisted or ruptured, surgery should be performed at any time. If it becomes malignant, surgery should also be performed immediately. In addition, in the late pregnancy, if the ovarian tumor is in the lower part of the uterus and affects the fetal head entering the pelvis, a cesarean section should be decisively decided. At the same time as the cesarean section, the ovarian tissue on both sides should be carefully explored and the ovarian tumor should be removed.
