I believe many people know about uterine fibroids, which is a common gynecological disease, but what are multiple uterine fibroids? Maybe many people don't know, so let me introduce it to you below. Multiple uterine fibroids are the most common benign tumors in the female reproductive system, mostly occurring between the ages of 35 and 50. Uterine fibroids are usually multiple, and the above-mentioned different types of fibroids can occur simultaneously in the same uterus, which is called multiple uterine fibroids. According to statistics, about 20% of women over the age of 35 suffer from multiple uterine fibroids, but most patients fail to detect them because the fibroids are small and asymptomatic. Clinically, the incidence of fibroids is only between 4% and 11%. There are many reasons for multiple uterine fibroids. We must pay more attention to these reasons: 1. Bad eating habits Scientific research shows that women who eat meat are relatively more likely to suffer from uterine fibroids. This is because vitamins can reduce the sensitivity of the uterine myometrium to estrogen and regulate the neuroendocrine system, especially vitamin C. Eating less fried meat, not having hangovers, and not staying up late will reduce the incidence of uterine fibroids accordingly. 2. Frequent use of oral contraceptives The main ingredients of contraceptives are estrogen and progesterone [1]. Clinical observations show that the higher the estrogen content in contraceptives, the greater the adverse reactions. It not only stimulates uterine fibroids, but also increases the risk of thrombosis in women. Therefore, contraceptives have been adjusted and reduced from generation to generation. The third generation of contraceptives is the safest and rarely causes too many adverse reactions. However, if contraceptives are taken frequently in the short term, especially emergency contraceptives, the side effects of the drugs still exist, and women are relatively more likely to develop uterine fibroids. 3. Depression Depression is a very important factor leading to uterine fibroids, especially modern women facing the dual mental pressure of work and family, prone to depression. If you catch up with menopause, it is more likely to promote the increase of estrogen secretion, and eventually lead to the occurrence of uterine fibroids. In order to avoid mental stress, menopause induces uterine fibroids, female friends need to pay attention to broadening their thoughts. When they are depressed, they can participate in various social activities, travel, etc. to divert their attention. 4. Sexual dysfunction: Long-term sexual dysfunction can easily cause hormone secretion disorders, leading to chronic pelvic congestion and inducing uterine fibroids. 5. Premature menopause in women without children. Women have a limited number of primordial follicles in their lifetime, and the ovulation period is about 30 years. During pregnancy and lactation, due to the effect of hormones, the ovaries suspend ovulation and do not resume until the 4th to 6th month of lactation. Therefore, the ovaries postpone a certain number of ovulations, and women with a history of childbearing enter menopause later. Women without children cannot protect progesterone in a timely and effective manner, and are prone to hormone-dependent diseases. Uterine fibroids are one of them. |
