What are the causes of uterine fibroids? What are the people who are prone to uterine fibroids?

In recent years, uterine fibroids have become more and more common. It is a benign multiple disease and is not contagious. Women aged 30-55 rarely develop uterine fibroids before the age of 20-60 and after the age of 60; the incidence rate can be as high as 70%. In particular, women who are infertile, have sexual dysfunction, and are depressed are more likely to develop uterine fibroids. Studies have shown that the occurrence of uterine fibroids is related to endocrine disorders caused by long-term excessive estrogen levels. Young patients with high estrogen levels have an increased probability of developing this disease.

The main causes of uterine fibroids are as follows:

1. Sexual intercourse after pregnancy. Sexual intercourse is prohibited in the early stages of pregnancy and two months before delivery, otherwise it will lead to miscarriage or premature birth and damage the uterus.

2. Sexual dysfunction: If women indulge in sex, or minors start having sex, it will damage their physical and mental health and easily lead to diseases such as cervical erosion and uterine fibroids.

3. Unclean sex life. Not paying attention to hygiene during sex. Pathogens can enter the uterine cavity through the vagina and cause endometrial infection. In addition, the stimulation of male smegma on the cervix is one of the factors leading to uterine fibroids, so not only expectant mothers, but also expectant fathers should do a good job of hygiene.

4. The growth of uterine fibroids is related to the overstimulation of estrogen. Therefore, uterine fibroids are prone to occur in women of childbearing age with vigorous ovarian function. When the hormone level of pregnant women increases, uterine fibroids will also increase; on the contrary, uterine fibroids in menopausal women usually stop growing, and some even shrink. After menopause, hormone levels decrease, and fibroids can become smaller and disappear.

In addition, according to data, the occurrence of uterine fibroids is also closely related to oral contraceptives, obesity and mental factors. Traditional Chinese medicine believes that uterine fibroids are caused by seven conditions, visceral dysfunction and qi stagnation and blood stasis.
