How to treat cervical erosion, the correct diagnosis and treatment of cervical erosion

Cervical erosion is actually the displacement of the junction between the columnar epithelium on the inside of the cervix and the squamous epithelium on the outside of the cervical os. It is a normal physiological phenomenon caused by hormones. What are the symptoms of cervical erosion? How to diagnose cervical erosion? How to treat cervical erosion?

Cervical erosion is not a disease, but a physiological phenomenon. In fact, the medical community has a variety of methods to treat cervical erosion, including acupuncture, electrocautery, laser, ultrasound, and the most advanced LEEP knife. In fact, patients with chronic inflammation can choose physical therapy for treatment, such as laser and freezing; patients with acute inflammation can just choose suppositories for treatment.
1. Symptoms of cervical erosion
Cervical erosion is affected by the secretion of estrogen. To the naked eye, the external opening of the cervix is a granular red area, which seems to have caused erosion.
Earlier books regarded cervical erosion as a symptom of chronic cervicitis, and believed that the size of the area was the severity of the inflammation. Areas within 1/3 were mild, 1/3-2/3 were moderate, and more than 2/3 were severe. But in fact, it was the different degrees of columnar epidermis eversion after being affected by estrogen.
One thing to note is that cervical erosion is different from cervicitis. If the leucorrhea is yellow or profuse, and has a peculiar smell, these are symptoms of cervicitis, which is a symptom of infection on the cervix.

2. Diagnosis of cervical erosion
People with cervical erosion-like changes can be diagnosed through human papillomavirus and cervical cytology tests.
People with edema and congestion should undergo infection tests. If necessary, biopsy and colposcopy should be performed to check for the possibility of cervical epithelial sarcoma or cervical cancer.
In fact, cervical erosion is not an appropriate diagnostic term for chronic cervicitis. Physiological columnar epithelial sites are more common in women of childbearing age with high estrogen secretion, oral contraceptives, pregnancy, and adolescence. Due to the effect of estrogen, the squamous junction moves outward, and the cervix has an erosive appearance.
In addition, early cervical cancer and cervical intraepithelial sarcoma can also cause erosive changes in the cervix.

3. Treatment of cervical erosion
Cervical erosion is a normal physiological phenomenon of the human body. Therefore, no treatment is required.
From acupuncture, electrocautery, high-frequency electric knife, Chinese medicine treatment, fire ironing therapy, freezing, to later electroresection, laser, microwave and ultrasound, to the most advanced LEEP knife, the medical community has a variety of methods to treat cervical erosion. In fact, this is a typical overtreatment.
Compared with the over-treatment of cervical erosion, symptomatic cervicitis needs to be treated. The specific method of treatment depends on different hospitals. However, in general, patients with chronic inflammation can choose treatment methods such as freezing or laser, and patients with acute inflammation can use suppositories.
