How to treat third-degree cervical erosion? 3 methods for treating third-degree cervical erosion

The third degree of cervical erosion seriously affects physical health. If it is not cured for a long time, it may worsen or even develop into cervical cancer. Therefore, it must be treated correctly to achieve a complete cure. Cervical erosion can be mild or severe. When it reaches the third degree, it is considered very serious and needs to be taken seriously. Common treatments include medication, physical therapy, and surgery.

Cervical erosion is divided into different stages, which are distinguished by 1st degree, 2nd degree and 3rd degree. Different stages require different treatment methods. The correct treatment method is the prerequisite for curing cervical erosion. There are many things to pay attention to in the treatment of cervical erosion of the third degree. Not only should we actively treat it, but we should also choose the right method. So, what should we do with the third degree of cervical erosion?

1. Drug treatment for 3rd degree cervical erosion
Suitable for patients with smaller erosion area and shallower inflammatory infiltration. Local application of antibiotics can be used, such as metronidazole, sulfonamides, furazolidone, etc.
2. Physical treatment of cervical erosion of degree 3
Electric ironing should be performed within 3 to 7 days after the menstruation is over. During treatment, the electric iron head is placed on the eroded surface and slightly pressed, moving back and forth from inside to outside until it slightly exceeds the eroded surface.
There is also a lot of vaginal discharge after laser treatment. Cryotherapy uses liquid nitrogen as a cooling source and uses a rapid cooling device to freeze, necrotize, and fall off the eroded tissue. There is little bleeding after surgery, but there is a lot of vaginal discharge, which generally lasts for 2 to 3 weeks, necrotic tissue falls off in 6 weeks, and the wound heals in 8 weeks.

Before physical therapy, the vulva, vagina, and cervix should be routinely disinfected. Since there is a large amount of fluid discharge after surgery, care should be taken to keep the vulva clean and dry to prevent infection. Sexual intercourse, bathing in a tub, and vaginal douching are prohibited before the wound is completely healed, which generally takes 4 to 8 weeks. After treatment, check once a month to check the healing of the wound.
3. Surgical treatment of 3rd degree cervical erosion
If the above treatment is ineffective, or there is cervical hypertrophy, or the erosion is deep and wide, and involves the cervical canal, cervical conization or total hysterectomy can be considered. However, surgical treatment is rarely used now.

What tests should be done to prevent 3rd degree cervical erosion
1. Beware of the occurrence of third-degree cervical erosion. Gynecological examination: focus on checking the size, shape, texture, thickness of the cervical canal, and whether there is contact bleeding. Secondly, check the condition of the vulva, vagina, uterus and paracervical tissue (ovaries, fallopian tubes, pelvic lymph nodes, etc.).
2. Beware of the occurrence of third-degree cervical erosion. Colposcopy: It can quickly detect lesions that are invisible to the naked eye. Taking biopsies from suspicious areas during colposcopy can significantly improve the accuracy of biopsies.
3. Be careful to prevent the occurrence of third-degree cervical erosion. Cervical smear cytology examination: It is a routine gynecological examination, simple, easy, cost-effective, and is the most important auxiliary examination and the preferred initial screening method for prevention surveys.
