What is ectopic pregnancy intervention? Advanced treatment methods

Interventional treatment for ectopic pregnancy is a relatively advanced method for treating ectopic pregnancy. Interventional treatment for ectopic pregnancy can be divided into three types: vascular interventional treatment, non-vascular interventional treatment and ultrasound interventional treatment. All three treatment methods are effective ways to treat ectopic pregnancy by directly acting on the gestational sac with methotrexate. Interventional treatment for ectopic pregnancy has the advantages of less pain, better effect and faster recovery.

When an ectopic pregnancy occurs, as long as the patient does not have heavy bleeding or shock, it can be treated through ectopic pregnancy interventional treatment. So what is ectopic pregnancy interventional treatment? There must be many people who don’t know much about it. Let’s take a closer look at it!
Interventional treatment of ectopic pregnancy is a method of treating ectopic pregnancy, and it is now a more respected treatment method. When conservative treatment does not have a good therapeutic effect, interventional treatment of ectopic pregnancy is needed. Interventional treatment of ectopic pregnancy can be divided into three types: vascular interventional treatment, non-vascular interventional treatment and ultrasound interventional treatment.
Vascular interventional treatment is to first anesthetize the patient, then make an incision of about two millimeters at the root of the patient's thigh, insert a catheter into the uterine artery through the patient's femoral artery, and infuse methotrexate. It is also necessary to block one or both sides of the patient's uterine artery with gelatin sponge to cut off the nutrition of the gestational sac, allowing the gestational sac to necrotize and be absorbed, thereby achieving the effect of treating ectopic pregnancy. Vascular interventional treatment is to directly infuse the drug into the gestational sac, which has no side effects, and the trauma is very small, the cure rate is very high, and it has no effect on the patient's subsequent pregnancy.
Non-vascular interventional treatment is a treatment for ectopic pregnancy such as tubal pregnancy. It requires an X-ray examination, and then a special catheter is used to pass through the patient's vagina, cervix, and uterine cavity to the patient's fallopian tube. Finally, methotrexate and other drugs are injected to treat ectopic pregnancy. Non-vascular interventional treatment does not require surgery, will not cause pain to the patient, and does not require anesthesia, and will not affect future reproduction.
Ultrasound interventional treatment is to puncture the patient's gestational sac with a fine needle under the guidance of ultrasound, draw out the amniotic fluid inside, and then inject methotrexate, which can kill the gestational sac and achieve a therapeutic effect. Ultrasound interventional treatment is also a very simple method and there is no pain, but if the mass is too large or the patient has already experienced bleeding, this method is not suitable.
