Is mild cervical erosion a serious problem? Don’t let it develop

Some women do not seek treatment for mild cervical erosion and allow it to develop. When the condition worsens, women will experience symptoms such as increased vaginal discharge, irregular vaginal bleeding, menstrual disorders, lower abdominal pain, etc. Severe cases can affect women's pregnancy. So is mild cervical erosion serious?

As long as mild cervical erosion is controlled and treated in time, the harm it causes is not great. However, if it is allowed to develop, it will affect women's lives, such as affecting the quality of sexual life and causing sexual pain. Due to the increase in cervical secretions and the viscosity of the texture, this will hinder the combination of sperm and egg, leading to infertility. In addition, due to the long-term stimulation of inflammation, other inflammations may occur, such as pelvic inflammatory disease and other gynecological inflammations, and inflammation may develop into cervical cancer.

Patients with mild cervical erosion should exclude malignant lesions, control specific or non-specific infections, and then carry out local treatment. The main thing is to let the columnar epithelium on the eroded surface necrotize and fall off, and be covered by new squamous epithelium. Local treatment mainly includes local vaginal irrigation and local medication and lotion immersion. Physical therapy can be given when necessary. It is currently a method with good efficacy and short treatment course for the treatment of cervical erosion. How should we prevent mild cervical erosion in normal times?

Women must pay attention to hygiene when engaging in sexual intercourse. Do not engage in sexual intercourse too frequently, do not make too many sexual partners, and avoid sexual intercourse during menstruation. If menstrual disorders occur, such as prolonged or shortened menstruation, excessive or insufficient menstrual flow, they should be treated in time. As a woman, you should have regular gynecological examinations, so as to effectively prevent the onset of cervical diseases. Keep the vulva clean and hygienic to avoid infection. If you do not want children for the time being, you should take contraceptive measures during sex to reduce the chance of artificial abortion. Prevent the chance of artificial trauma and bacterial infection, prevent instruments from damaging the cervix during delivery, and suture cervical lacerations in time after delivery.
