Treatment of adenomyosis

1. Drug treatment: Since adenomyosis can cause dysmenorrhea, anti-prostaglandin drugs can be used for treatment. Do not take the drug on an empty stomach, and do not take it continuously for a long time. No matter what the disease is, as long as you take the drug, you must use it under the guidance of a doctor to avoid causing uncomfortable symptoms.

2. Surgical treatment: Patients with severe adenomyosis need surgical treatment, that is, the entire uterus must be removed. This treatment is generally for patients with severe disease and no fertility requirements. In general, hysterectomy is chosen when conservative treatment is ineffective. The degree of ovarian preservation can be determined by the age of the patient. Laparoscopic surgery or open surgery can be selected according to the patient's specific situation.
