Will uterine fibroids disappear after pregnancy?

Will uterine fibroids disappear after pregnancy?

Uterine fibroids will not disappear during pregnancy, so unsafe abortions should be avoided: frequent abortions can lead to uterine fibroids, so couples should actively take contraceptive measures, try to avoid or reduce the number of abortions, and arrange diet properly: uterine fibroids are closely related to high estrogen levels, so women should eat more foods rich in protein and vitamins. Foods with heat, coagulability and high hormone content, such as longan, red dates, donkey-hide gelatin, and royal jelly, should be reasonably selected and avoided from excessive consumption.

Overview

Uterine fibroids are noncancerous growths of the uterus that usually appear during the reproductive years. Also called leiomyomas (lie-o-my-o-muhs) or myomas, uterine fibroids are not associated with an increased risk of uterine cancer and almost never develop into cancer.

Fibroids range in size from seedlings that are too small to be seen with the human eye to large masses that can distort and enlarge the uterus. You can have one or more fibroids. In extreme cases, multiple fibroids can cause the uterus to expand to the rib cage.

Many women have uterine fibroids at some time in their lives. But most women don't know they have them because they usually don't cause any symptoms. A doctor may discover fibroids incidentally during a pelvic exam or prenatal ultrasound.

What are the symptoms of uterine fibroids? Do they cause pain?

Most of the time, uterine fibroids do not cause symptoms or problems, and women with them are often unaware that they are present.

However, abnormal uterine bleeding is the most common symptom of fibroids. If the tumor is close to the endometrium or interferes with blood flow to the endometrium, it can cause heavy, painful, prolonged, or irregular menstruation. Women who bleed too much from fibroids may develop iron deficiency anemia. Degenerating uterine fibroids can sometimes cause severe localized pain.

Fibroids can also cause a number of symptoms, depending on their size, location within the uterus, and their proximity to nearby pelvic organs. Larger fibroids can cause:

pressure

Pelvic pain, including pain during sexual intercourse

Pressure on the bladder from frequent or blocked urination

Difficult or painful rectal pressure during bowel movements

Uterine fibroids and pregnancy

Although fibroids do not interfere with ovulation, some studies suggest that fibroids may impair fertility and lead to poorer pregnancy outcomes. In particular, submucous fibroids that distort the uterine cavity are most strongly associated with decreased fertility. Sometimes, fibroids are the cause of recurrent miscarriages. If they are not removed in these cases, women may not be able to maintain a pregnancy.

Keep an optimistic attitude: It is very important to be in a good mood. It is impossible for everyone to have smooth sailing. Stress and frustration exist everywhere, so you must adjust your mindset and face life with an optimistic mood. Avoid excessive intake of estrogen: Uterine fibroids may be related to excessive estrogen levels in the body and long-term stimulation by estrogen. Therefore, female friends should not take extra estrogen, especially after menopause, so as not to stimulate the growth of uterine fibroids. Keep the vulva clean and dry, and the underwear should be loose. If there is too much leucorrhea, you should pay attention to washing the vulva at any time.

Go to the hospital for regular gynecological examinations: Women should go to the hospital for regular gynecological examinations. If uterine fibroids are found, they should generally be checked again every 3-6 months. If the fibroids are obviously enlarged and bleeding is severe, surgical treatment should be performed as soon as possible.
