How to check after suffering from adnexitis?

How to check if you have adnexitis? This is a question that many patients are concerned about. The examination items for adnexitis are the main basis for diagnosing the disease, so how to check after suffering from adnexitis? I believe that friends have a certain understanding of gynecological diseases such as adnexitis, but they don’t have too much in-depth understanding.

The following items are checked for adnexitis:

1. Direct smear sampling of secretions: Vaginal mucus, cervical secretions, urethral secretions, peritoneal fluid, etc. can be directly made into thin layer smears and dried, then stained with methylene blue or Gram, and then the disease can be identified based on the positive or negative results.

2. Pathogens: The sampling samples for secretion detection and other adnexitis examination items are the same, but the difference is that this method uses glycolysis for bacterial identification. The average sensitivity of this method is 89.5 and the specificity is 98.4.

3. Laparoscopic examination: If the patient does not suffer from peritonitis, laparoscopy can not only diagnose and differentiate the lesions during the adnexitis examination, but also make a preliminary judgment on adnexitis.

4. Ultrasound examination: This examination has 80% accuracy in distinguishing fallopian tube adnexitis, ovarian and intestinal adhesions forming a mass or abscess, including B-type or ultrasound scanning and angiography, but it is very difficult to show mild or moderate adnexitis in B-type ultrasound images.

5. Posterior fornix puncture: This examination item for adnexitis is the most commonly used diagnostic method and the most valuable in gynecological acute abdomen. The biopsy can clearly show the contents of the uterine rectal fossa, such as normal peritoneal fluid, blood (blood, new and old silk), purulent secretions or pus, which can further clarify the diagnosis. Bronchoscopy, biopsy and culture are necessary.
