What are the dangers of spontaneous abortion?

Pregnancy is a happy thing. If a miscarriage occurs due to some factors, it is a sad thing. In addition to causing great psychological harm to women, miscarriage also has some unforeseen hazards. What are the hazards of miscarriage?

Abortion that occurs naturally (not caused by human intention) is called spontaneous abortion. Among all clinically confirmed pregnancies, the incidence of spontaneous abortion is about 15%. Abortion that occurs before 12 weeks is defined as early abortion, and abortion between 12 weeks and less than 28 weeks of pregnancy is defined as late abortion. It is estimated that about 75% of all human pregnancies end in spontaneous abortion. The main hazards of spontaneous abortion are as follows:

1. After spontaneous abortion, acute renal failure may occur due to acute massive blood loss and severe infection;

2. All types of abortion can be complicated by infection, and it is more common in incomplete abortion;

3. Sometimes, unavoidable or incomplete miscarriage can lead to severe blood loss and even shock;

4. The infection can be confined to the uterine cavity, or it can spread to the periphery of the uterus and even beyond the reproductive organs to cause peritonitis and sepsis;

5. It can cause severe uterine bleeding, which often occurs within a few weeks after miscarriage.

After a miscarriage occurs, it not only harms the health of women, but is also a blow to the entire family. Therefore, pregnant women must choose a reasonable method to prepare for pregnancy and make preparations to prevent miscarriage.
