Risk factors for threatened abortion are

Many female friends will encounter many problems, big and small, during pregnancy, and miscarriage is undoubtedly the most worrying. If miscarriage is compared to an army, then threatened miscarriage is the vanguard. This makes us have to pay attention to threatened miscarriage. Do you know the harmful factors of threatened miscarriage? Let us learn about it today.

Abortion goes through a series of processes from the beginning to the end. Different diagnostic names can be given according to its different stages, namely: threatened abortion, inevitable abortion, incomplete abortion, complete abortion, and overdue abortion. Threatened abortion refers to a small amount of vaginal bleeding before 28 weeks of pregnancy, followed by paroxysmal lower abdominal pain or back pain. Pelvic examination shows that the cervix is not dilated, the fetal membranes are intact, no pregnancy products are discharged, and the size of the uterus is consistent with the gestational age. If the symptoms worsen, it may develop into inevitable abortion.

The main risk factors for threatened abortion are:

1. Amenorrhea. Most patients with spontaneous abortion have a history of amenorrhea.

2. Vaginal bleeding and abdominal pain. The first symptom is often vaginal bleeding, which is usually light in amount and dark red or bloody leucorrhea, but can sometimes last for 4-5 days to more than a week. A few hours to a few weeks after the bleeding occurs, it may be accompanied by mild lower abdominal pain or back pain. After 12 weeks of pregnancy, the patient may sometimes feel paroxysmal abdominal pain. Gynecological examination shows that the cervix is not open, no pregnancy products are discharged, and the size of the uterus is consistent with the time of menopause.

If vaginal bleeding stops, abdominal pain disappears, and ultrasound confirms that the embryo is alive, the pregnancy can continue. If clinical symptoms worsen, ultrasound finds that the embryo is maldeveloped, and blood hCG continues to not rise or decreases, it indicates that miscarriage is inevitable and the pregnancy should be terminated. In the early stages of pregnancy, you should pay attention to rest and avoid excessive fatigue. You should avoid sexual intercourse in the first three months of pregnancy and try to avoid contact with toxic and harmful physical and chemical substances to avoid threatened miscarriage.
