What to do if you suspect threatened miscarriage

Don't blindly preserve the fetus in case of threatened abortion. Find out the cause of early threatened abortion, check that the embryo is normal, and preserve the fetus when all pregnancy indicators are generally normal. If the embryo develops abnormally, you should choose to give up as soon as possible. Let's take a look at what to do in case of suspected threatened abortion:

I suggest you go to the hospital to check blood hormones and B-ultrasound tests to find out what causes it and the condition of the fetus, and seek specific treatment. Pregnant women with symptoms of threatened abortion should go to the hospital for examination first. After the doctor's examination, if no genetic diseases or serious diseases are found; B-ultrasound examination shows that the embryo is developing normally and there is fetal heartbeat; blood test shows that the content of human chorionic gonadotropin in the blood is normal. In this case, the pregnant woman can receive fetal preservation treatment.

After the symptoms of threatened abortion disappear, pregnant women can stop taking the medicine. In addition, bed rest and keeping a happy mood are also important parts of preserving the fetus. If after two weeks of treatment, the symptoms of pregnant women not only do not improve, but worsen, this may be abnormal fetal development, and you should go to the hospital for examination immediately. If it is indeed abnormal fetal development, the pregnancy should be terminated under the guidance of a doctor.

(1) General treatment: If threatened abortion occurs, pregnant women should stay in bed and reduce activity. However, this does not mean they should stay in bed for 24 hours without moving, or even not get out of bed to urinate or defecate. Such excessive mental stress may cause abortion. They should engage in light activities appropriately. Sexual intercourse must be prohibited. Unnecessary vaginal examinations should be minimized to reduce stimulation to the uterus.

(2) Drug treatment: Progesterone can be used to maintain pregnancy. Progesterone can ensure embryo development, maintain pregnancy, inhibit uterine skeletal muscle contraction, and reduce uterine tension. Oral vitamin E is beneficial to embryo development, 10-20 mg each time, 3 times a day; if necessary, sedatives, sleeping pills and analgesics can be used to reduce stimulation.

(3) Treatment with Chinese medicine: Kidney deficiency is treated by strengthening the kidney and stabilizing the fetus. Qi and blood deficiency, spleen deficiency is treated by tonifying the middle qi, nourishing blood and stabilizing the fetus. Blood heat and yin deficiency are treated by nourishing yin, clearing heat and stabilizing the fetus. During treatment, the patient must be diagnosed and the medication must be used according to the specific conditions of each patient. Do not use the medication at will to avoid adverse effects on the fetus.

Rest is the key to protecting the fetus during threatened abortion. Pregnant women should rest in bed more and reduce activities, but this does not mean lying in bed for 24 hours without moving. They should do some light activities appropriately. Sexual intercourse must be prohibited, and unnecessary vaginal examinations should be minimized to reduce stimulation to the uterus. In addition, breast stimulation should be avoided, because breast stimulation can also cause uterine contractions, leading to the occurrence of threatened abortion.
