How to identify endometrial tuberculosis?

Endometrial tuberculosis is a disease that occurs when the female endometrium is affected and undergoes tuberculous changes. It has a great impact and harm on patients. I hope that female friends can pay attention to and understand endometrial tuberculosis, conduct professional diagnosis accordingly, clarify their own condition, and then effectively carry out professional treatment to cure the disease and maintain good health.

1. Medical history: Endometrial tuberculosis is usually caused by long-standing adnexal tuberculosis or cervical tuberculosis, long-term placement of intrauterine contraceptive devices, unclean sexual life or menopause, and is often accompanied by senile vaginal tuberculosis.

2. Clinical manifestations: The main manifestations of endometrial tuberculosis are irregular menstruation, prolonged menstruation, lower abdominal pain or distension, increased leucorrhea with purulent secretions and a foul odor, and a small number of patients have low fever. Since tuberculous secretions have spermicidal effects and the endometrium of patients with tuberculosis is not suitable for implantation of the fertilized egg, endometrial tuberculosis often manifests as infertility.

3. Physical signs: In patients with mild endometrial tuberculosis, no abnormalities may be found in bimanual examination. The uterus of some patients may be slightly enlarged and slightly tender. If there is pyometra, the uterus will be spherical, enlarged, soft and tender.

4. Auxiliary examination: If conditions permit, the endometrium can be scraped under hysteroscopy for pathological examination, which can show a large number of plasma cells and lymphocytes infiltrating the endometrial stroma.

Endometrial tuberculosis can cause great harm to patients and their friends. Therefore, once a female friend suffers from endometrial tuberculosis, she must undergo professional examinations in a timely manner to clearly diagnose the disease, and also receive professional treatment to cure endometrial tuberculosis, so as to avoid further development of the disease and cause greater harm.
