How to Treat Pelvic Peritonitis with Traditional Chinese Medicine

Traditional Chinese medicine believes that pelvic peritonitis is mostly caused by cold stagnation in the uterus and phlegm and dampness. For dietary therapy, light and easily digestible foods should be selected, such as red beans, mung beans, winter melon, lentils, purslane, etc. Foods with the effects of promoting blood circulation, regulating qi and dispersing nodules can also be selected, such as hawthorn, peach kernel, fruit danpi, orange pit, orange peel, rose, kumquat, etc. In addition to drug treatment and dietary therapy, patients with chronic pelvic peritonitis can try the following two Chinese medicine prescriptions for treatment to achieve the purpose of relieving pain.

1. Take Smilax glabra, Euryale ferox, Rosa rugosa, Acorus calamus, and lean pork, add appropriate amount of water, simmer the soup over low heat, add salt for seasoning, drink the soup and eat the meat. It has the effects of strengthening the spleen and kidney, detoxifying and removing dampness. It is suitable for chronic pelvic peritonitis, vaginitis, and cervicitis. The Smilax glabra in the recipe is sweet, mild, and flat in nature, and has the effects of strengthening the spleen, detoxifying, and removing dampness; Euryale ferox, also known as Jitoushi, has a sweet, astringent and flat nature, and has the effects of strengthening the spleen and removing dampness, benefiting the kidney and consolidating essence, and can treat excessive leucorrhea; Rosa rugosa is sour and flat in nature, and has the function of consolidating essence and nourishing. Euryale ferox and Rosa rugosa, also known as Shuilu Erxiandan, treat spermatorrhea and leucorrhea in women; Acorus calamus is pungent and warm in nature, and has the effects of promoting qi and removing turbidity, removing evil and curing leucorrhea.

2. Take appropriate amount of green peel and safflower, dry the green peel and cut it into shreds, put it into a casserole with safflower, add water and soak for 30 minutes, and boil for 30 minutes. Filter with clean gauze, remove the residue, and take the juice. Drink it frequently as tea or take it twice a day in the morning and evening. It has the effect of regulating qi and activating blood circulation.
