Overview of Endometrial Tuberculosis

Gynecological diseases often occur in female friends, but there are many gynecological diseases that you don’t know about. Endometrial tuberculosis is one of the gynecological diseases mentioned today. Endometrial tuberculosis is a relatively harmful disease among gynecological diseases. If you don’t know much about this disease, you can read the following introduction.

Endometrial tuberculosis is tuberculosis of the endometrium in the uterine body. When tuberculosis develops to a serious stage, it can affect the myometrium and become myometrial tuberculosis, which is an extension of endometrial tuberculosis.

Endometrial tuberculosis is divided into acute and chronic types. The main causes of acute endometrial tuberculosis are miscarriage, puerperal infection, intrauterine contraceptive device placement, cervical dilatation, diagnostic curettage or cervical electrocautery, laser, microwave and other physical treatments. It can also be caused by ascending infection of pathogens such as sexually transmitted diseases. In addition, endometrial polyps and submucosal fibroids often cause endometrial tuberculosis.

The etiology of chronic endometrial tuberculosis is similar to that mentioned above. The lesions are limited to the mucosa and underlying tissues in the cervical canal. The vaginal part of the cervix can be very smooth, with only purulent secretions blocking the cervical opening, and sometimes mucosal hyperplasia. The cervical opening can be seen to be red and congested.

The above is some knowledge about endometrial tuberculosis that the editor and friends have introduced. I believe that everyone will know more about endometrial tuberculosis. Gynecological diseases need to be taken seriously, otherwise the harm they bring is relatively large. Endometrial tuberculosis can cause varying degrees of damage to the uterus, so everyone must seek timely treatment.
