Routine nursing care for cervical precancerous lesions

Cervical precancerous lesions are the most common type of gynecological malignancies. If not treated actively, it may be life-threatening. The most commonly used treatment method now is surgery. After the treatment, you must pay attention to care to avoid recurrence. So how long can you live after surgery for cervical precancerous lesions? There is no definite answer to how long you can live. It depends on your situation.

An excellent cervical precancerous lesion surgery can greatly improve the patient's survival rate and even achieve cure, but this is not the only determining factor. It also depends more on postoperative rehabilitation care, the patient's mentality, the patient's physical function, etc.

Patients should strengthen their self-care awareness during the postoperative recovery period and actively cooperate with others in their care. In order to live longer after cervical precancerous lesions surgery, patients should not only adhere to regular check-ups and comprehensive treatments, but also do the following:

1. Develop good eating habits, eat nutritious foods rich in high protein and vitamins and fresh fruits and vegetables, avoid tobacco, alcohol, spicy and stimulating foods, raw, cold, greasy and heavy foods, and keep bowel movements smooth.

2. Enrich your spiritual life. During the postoperative rehabilitation period, patients are often in a state of tension and their lives are monotonous. According to their own conditions, interests and hobbies, they should cultivate good tastes, such as appreciating music, writing poems and painting, planting flowers and raising birds, playing chess and playing the piano, etc., to enrich themselves, have spiritual sustenance and pursuit, so as to cheer up their spirits, be full of emotions, and strive to prolong their survival period.

3. After regular treatment, patients with cervical precancerous lesions generally have a poor physical condition. Therefore, in order to quickly recover from fatigue, they must ensure adequate rest. However, rest does not mean staying in bed all day. Instead, they should rest according to their actual situation, combining work and rest. They can do appropriate physical activities, such as Tai Chi, walking, doing health exercises, practicing Qigong, etc., to increase the patient's appetite and restore body functions. They can also do some light housework and avoid tiring exercises. Such rest is beneficial to physical and mental health and recovery.

4. Generally, the first follow-up visit is conducted within the first year after discharge, 1 month after discharge, and then every 2 to 3 months. In the second year after discharge, the follow-up visit is conducted every 3 to 6 months. In the third to fifth year after discharge, the follow-up visit is conducted every six months. Starting from the sixth year, the follow-up visit is conducted once a year. In addition to clinical examinations, chest X-rays and blood routine tests should be performed regularly during the follow-up visit.
