Bacterial vaginosis identification

Bacterial vaginosis identification

How to scientifically diagnose candidal vaginitis? Although candidal vaginitis is relatively common, many people do not know much about it. As a result, many people cannot find out when the disease has already occurred in themselves. Today, let's learn about the differential diagnosis methods of candidal vaginitis.

About 50% of the infected people are asymptomatic. Those with symptoms have increased vaginal discharge, which is foamy, foul-smelling, purulent green discharge. Seventy-five percent of the patients have vaginal erythema, and 90% of the patients have a "strawberry-shaped" cervix caused by capillary bleeding or punctate bleeding during vaginal speculum. The vulva has a burning sensation and itching, as if a bug is crawling, and can cause pain during sexual intercourse.

Most patients with this disease are women of childbearing age. The disease develops slowly and the subjective symptoms are not obvious. The main manifestation is an increase in vaginal discharge. Examination of vaginal discharge (1) The pH value is higher than normal, reaching 5.0-5.5. (2) The vaginal discharge is gray or gray-green, homogeneous, and has a paste-like consistency and may have many bubbles. (3) It has a rotten fish-like odor. The odor of women worsens after menstruation or sexual intercourse, and the same odor may also be emitted from the genitals of their sexual partners. (4) A small number of patients with combined Trichomonas or Candida infection may experience vulvar itching, vaginal burning, or sexual intercourse pain.

There are many diseases with similar symptoms to those of patients with candidal vaginitis in clinical practice, and we need to make relevant distinctions. Scientific diagnosis can alleviate the pain of patients with candidal vaginitis, so we must make scientific choices.
