What drugs are used to treat vaginal candidiasis

What drugs are used to treat candidal vaginitis? Patients with candidal vaginitis generally feel that their vulva is very itchy and there is a lot of secretion. After suffering from candidal vaginitis, patients often feel itchy and painful in the vulva. However, don't be anxious after suffering from candidal vaginitis, you can choose to use drug treatment.

(1) Change the pH of the vagina: The most suitable pH value for the growth of Candida is 5.5. Therefore, using alkaline solution to flush the vulva and vagina can change the pH of the vagina and inhibit the growth and reproduction of fungi. You can use 2% to 4% baking soda water to flush the vagina 1 to 2 times a day, and 2 weeks is a course of treatment. After flushing, wipe the vulva dry to inhibit the growth of Candida.

(2) Vaginal medication: Using imidazole suppositories for vaginal medication has a good effect on candidal vaginitis. Take 1 clotrimazole suppository every night and insert it into the vagina after flushing. A course of treatment is 10 to 14 days; or take 1 Daconil suppository every night and apply it into the vagina after flushing. A course of treatment is 7 days.

(3) Topical ointment: Apply clotrimazole ointment or Daconin ointment to treat vulvitis caused by fungal infection and relieve symptoms of vulvar itching and pain. Apply several times a day for 2 weeks. Yifuqing ointment is made with econazole as the main drug and a small amount of local steroid therapeutic agent. It has a good antipruritic effect and is more suitable for patients with fungal vulvitis and vaginitis who have unbearable vulvar itching and pain. Apply to the vulva once in the morning and once in the evening.

(4) Oral medication: Since fungal infections can be transmitted between couples through sexual intercourse, oral medication can be used to treat both parties. Oral medication can also inhibit intestinal Candida. Oral fluconazole: 150 mg once, taken all at once. Or oral Sporanox: If it is the first infection of Candida vaginitis, take 200 mg each time, take it after breakfast and dinner, and only take it for 1 day; if it is recurrent fungal vaginitis, the dosage of Sporanox needs to be increased, 200 mg each time, once a day, for 3 consecutive days, or 100 mg twice a day, for 3 consecutive days. Take the medicine after meals.

The above is the method of choosing drug treatment after suffering from candidal vaginitis. Do not use drugs blindly after suffering from candidal vaginitis. You can go to the hospital to check your condition first, and then let the doctor prescribe the drugs you need according to your disease.
