Analysis of the etiology of recurrent candidal vaginitis

Fungal vaginitis is caused by fungal infection. Its incidence rate is higher than that of trichomonas vaginitis. Fungal infection is called Candida infection in medicine, so fungal vaginitis is also called Candida vaginitis. It is more common in young girls, pregnant women, diabetic patients, and postmenopausal patients who have been treated with high doses of estrogen. So what is the cause of recurrent fungal vaginitis?

1. Excessive cleaning

The female reproductive organs have their own unique defense structures and functions in anatomy and physiology, and have a self-cleaning function. Excessive cleaning will destroy the weak acidic environment of the vagina and the mutual restraint between bacteria, which will reduce the disease resistance of the vaginal epithelium and cause vaginitis caused by Candida or other bacteria. Moreover, vaginitis is caused by fungal infection and is prone to recurrence. Artificially keeping the genitals "clean" for a long time is equivalent to making them quite "fragile". Once the use of the care solution is stopped, vaginitis will come back immediately.

2. Always wear careful and warm clothes

The texture of pantyhose is usually chemical fiber, which is not breathable. It is always wrapped in several layers of chemical fiber, and the damp heat cannot be dissipated. For the same reason, many women like to wear chemical fiber underwear. Chemical fiber is relatively rough and hard, and its moisture absorption and permeability are very poor. It is very uncomfortable to wear it inside shorts. Pants made of chemical fiber do not absorb water, have poor permeability, and are not easy to evaporate moisture. Women's vulva is usually polluted by leucorrhea, urine, feces, etc., and is often wet. There are some secretions or moisture soaking the vulva all day long, which is naturally easy to cause vaginitis over time.

3. Use pads too frequently

Most pads have a layer of plastic at the bottom, which has poor air permeability and can easily cause moisture and sweating in the genitals, allowing pathogens to grow. If the sanitary pad is not replaced for a long time, the local humidity and temperature will increase greatly, which not only creates suitable conditions for the growth of bacteria and fungi, but also destroys the pH of the vagina, reduces the local protective barrier function, and causes vaginitis. In addition, the friction of the sanitary pad can easily cause damage to the local skin or hair follicles, and cause diseases such as vulvar folliculitis. Therefore, sanitary pads should not be used for a long time. In daily life, it is actually enough to keep the underwear clean and hygienic, and there is no need to add any pads. Generally speaking, you only need to pay attention to washing and replacing underwear frequently. It should be reminded that underwear should not be worn for several years, even if it is washed frequently. Generally, all your underwear should be "changed" every six months to a year, and new underwear should be purchased for use.

4. Taking antibiotics indiscriminately

Many women who suffer from vaginitis said that they are used to taking antibiotics and other drugs to treat it because of the invasion of cold germs. When the doctor said that this is most likely the cause of vaginitis, they were undoubtedly hit hard.

Usually, there are many bacteria parasitic in women's vagina. These different bacterial communities restrain each other and form a symbiotic state, which is not pathogenic. The large-scale and long-term use of broad-spectrum antibiotics causes the flora in the vagina to become disordered, and the mutual inhibition is changed, allowing Candida albicans to multiply in large numbers. With the increasing use of antibiotics, the incidence of candidal vaginitis has also increased. Some people also think that since there is inflammation in the vagina, taking antibiotics to reduce inflammation will only backfire.
