Mugwort and ginger foot bath can effectively relieve dysmenorrhea

Dysmenorrhea is a common disease that troubles many women. During active treatment, patients can regularly soak their feet in mugwort and ginger to effectively relieve pain.

Ingredients: 30 grams of mugwort, 100 grams of ginger, and 100 milliliters of white wine.

Method: After washing the mugwort leaves and ginger, cut the ginger into thick slices and put them into the pot together with the mugwort leaves. Add water and boil for 30 minutes. Remove the residue, put it in a foot basin, and pour in white wine. Steam your feet with hot air first and then soak them. Start 7 days before menstruation until the end of menstruation.

It should be noted that the boundary between fumigation and soaking is mainly determined by the water temperature. The water temperature during fumigation should be around 90°C, but burns should be prevented; the temperature during soaking is generally around 40°C, and the medicine should be soaked to the ankle joints of both feet.

Efficacy: The mugwort and ginger foot bath method has a good effect of warming the meridians and dispelling cold, promoting blood circulation and relieving pain.

Mugwort: It has the effects of dispelling cold and relieving pain, warming the meridians and stopping bleeding. It is often used to treat cold pain in the lower abdomen, irregular menstruation, infertility due to cold uterus, vomiting blood, epistaxis, metrorrhagia, and bleeding during pregnancy. Mugwort can open up the twelve meridians and regulate yin and yang. If the meridians are unobstructed, the qi and blood will flow smoothly, and the cold in the body will naturally have nowhere to stay.

Ginger: It has the effects of warming the body, promoting excitement, sweating, stopping vomiting, detoxifying, warming the lungs, and relieving cough. It can effectively promote blood circulation, dispel cold evil, kill bacteria and detoxify, and reduce swelling and relieve pain.
