How to prevent vaginal candidal infection for expectant mothers

Generally speaking, about 40% of women have fungi in their vaginas, but as long as there are no conditions for them to grow rapidly, they are harmless. However, when stimulated by something, especially in the early and late stages of pregnancy, coupled with the influence of a sharp increase in hormones, vaginal secretions will also increase, making it more susceptible to fungal infection and candidal vaginitis, so it is important to take active preventive measures.

1. Pregnant women are prone to sweating due to the influence of hormones during pregnancy, and their hip and belly circumferences increase, so they need pregnancy underwear that is highly breathable and well covered (can cover the belly and hip circumference). If you wear tight or non-breathable underwear for a long time, it will not only easily cause pigmentation in your crotch, but also easily lead to candidal vaginitis.

2. Pregnant women’s underwear should be made of cotton, which should be breathable and sweat-absorbent. The underwear can be changed several times a day, especially in summer when it is easy to sweat. It should be changed in time to avoid holding on to the sweat.

3. Pregnant women should not wear pants or leggings that are too tight and should try to keep the room ventilated and dry.

4. It is best to wash pregnant women's underwear separately with neutral soap and not wash it with other clothes.

5. Pregnant women should remember to wipe from front to back after using the toilet to reduce the chance of infection.

6. Pregnant women should try to choose showers instead of baths, and avoid using vaginal douches or medications casually.

7. Pregnant women should eat less starch, sugar and irritating foods, eat more vegetables and fruits, and drink plenty of water.
