Methods for treating vaginitis during pregnancy

If pregnant women do not treat vaginitis in time, it will cause pelvic infection, premature rupture of membranes, intrauterine infection, etc., and even lead to miscarriage, premature birth, stillbirth, etc. It is best for women to check whether they have vaginitis before getting pregnant. If so, they should get pregnant after thorough treatment, because then the doctor can boldly use medication without worrying about any impact on the fetus, and the treatment effect during the non-pregnancy period is much better than that during pregnancy.

Pregnant women cannot use oral medications, and should choose external washes and local medications for different types of vaginitis. External washes are mostly weakly acidic, such as 5% acetic acid solution, while local medications vary according to the type of inflammation. Due to the decrease in the resistance of pregnant women, the increase in hormone levels, and the increase in secretions, fungal vaginitis is the most common in pregnant women, and patients can use nystatin suppositories; the medication for trichomoniasis vaginitis is divided into different periods, and metronidazole can be selected during the middle and late pregnancy, but it cannot be used during the early pregnancy. During the early pregnancy, you can carefully choose to use nystatin suppositories; and bacterial vaginitis is best not to use medication during the early pregnancy, and metronidazole can also be selected during the middle and late pregnancy. The above treatments must be used with the help of a doctor to avoid affecting the fetus.

The treatment of vaginitis must be thorough. Some patients stop taking medication without authorization once the symptoms are relieved, which makes the inflammation easy to relapse and all previous efforts are wasted. Generally speaking, a course of treatment is 7-10 days. After one month, go to the hospital to check the leucorrhea to decide whether to continue taking the medication and how to take the medication next. Another key to treatment is that the patient's husband should also take medication under the guidance of a doctor. Generally, external wash drugs are used. At the same time, remember that couples should strictly prohibit sexual intercourse during the inflammation period.
