Precautions before using Lipu Knife to treat cervical erosion

Precautions before using Lipu Knife to treat cervical erosion

For patients with cervical erosion that is deep, wide, or involves the cervical canal, surgical treatment can be applied, and the surgical method is mostly Lip Knife treatment. Lip Knife, also known as ultra-high frequency radio wave knife, mainly generates high-frequency radio waves through the tip of the electrode. After contacting the body, due to the impedance of the tissue itself, it absorbs this high-frequency radio wave and instantly generates high heat, thereby completing the treatment of cervical erosion. It should be noted that the following aspects should be paid attention to before treatment:

1. Rule out cervical cancer

Before using the Lip Knife to treat cervical erosion, the possibility of cervical cancer should be ruled out. This is because the early manifestations of cervical cancer are similar to cervical erosion and cannot be distinguished with the naked eye. It needs to be confirmed by cervical smear or cervical tissue biopsy. If the patient has cervical cancer and the Lip Knife is used for treatment, it will not only delay the treatment of cervical cancer, but also cause the spread of cancer cells. At the same time, the patient should also undergo a colposcopy before treatment, which can not only determine whether the cervix is abnormal, but also improve the diagnosis rate.

2. Avoid sexual intercourse

Sexual intercourse should be avoided as much as possible before treatment. If sexual intercourse is necessary, condoms should be used.

3. Pay attention to the choice of treatment time

The time for treating cervical erosion with Lip Knife should be 3 to 7 days after the end of menstruation. This is because surgical treatment will cause wounds, and if the patient is menstruating, it may increase the chance of infection.
