Beware of pelvic inflammatory disease if you have back pain during menstruation

Pelvic inflammatory disease is quite common in daily life. Many women experience lower back pain during menstruation, which may be caused by pelvic inflammatory disease.

Pelvic inflammatory disease, also known as pelvic inflammatory disease, is a group of diseases caused by inflammation of the female reproductive tract. It often occurs in sexually active and menstruating women, and rarely occurs in women before menarche, after menopause or unmarried people. The lesions can be confined to one site or involve several sites at the same time. The most common ones include endometritis, salpingitis, pelvic peritonitis, etc. Most patients experience pain as the main symptom. Since the pelvic organs are mostly innervated by visceral nerves, the pain sensation is often inaccurately located. Patients may experience symptoms such as sore waist and back, lower abdominal pain, increased leucorrhea, fever and dysmenorrhea. Severely ill patients may also experience chills, high fever, and loss of appetite. In peritonitis, digestive system symptoms such as nausea, vomiting, and abdominal distension may occur. If an abscess is formed, there may be a lower abdominal mass and local compression and irritation symptoms.

Therefore, patients suspected of having pelvic inflammatory disease should go to the hospital for diagnosis and treatment in time to avoid delaying treatment and worsening the condition. Patients who experience back pain during menstruation should also be careful not to use beating to relieve pain, because beating the back and waist can speed up pelvic blood flow and make congestion more severe, which will lead to excessive menstruation, prolonged menstruation, and more severe back pain symptoms.
