Early understanding of the symptoms of uterine fibroids is the key to treatment

In order to avoid the deterioration of uterine fibroids and cause serious harm to patients, early detection of symptoms and timely treatment are crucial. So what are the main symptoms of uterine fibroids ?

1. Menstrual changes: Heavy menstrual flow or prolonged menstrual period is caused by uterine fibroids that enlarge the uterus, increase the endometrial area accordingly or excessively thicken the endometrium, which hinders uterine contraction. These obvious menstrual changes often occur in submucosal fibroids and intramural fibroids, which is one of the symptoms of uterine fibroids.

2. Symptoms of uterine fibroids may also manifest as a lump in the lower abdomen: a lump, about the size of a pear, may be felt in the lower abdomen. It is more obvious in the early morning when the bladder is full. A small number of patients may experience dysmenorrhea or lower abdominal pain.

3. Compression symptoms: If the fibroids grow at the lower end of the uterus, there may be a sense of compression. If the bladder is compressed, it may cause difficulty in urination; if the rectum is compressed, it may cause difficulty in defecation; if the fallopian tube is compressed, it may cause back pain, back pain, and renal dysfunction. About 30% of patients with uterine fibroids have infertility, which are all symptoms of uterine fibroids.

I hope that the above three aspects of the introduction to the symptoms of uterine fibroids will be helpful to everyone. Menstrual changes are not necessarily symptoms of uterine fibroids. It is recommended that if you find any discomfort, go to the hospital for examination and diagnosis in time to avoid delaying the disease and affecting treatment.
