The analysis of vaginitis can start from leucorrhea

Analyzing the symptoms of vaginitis, confirming the disease and finding out the cause are necessary steps before treatment. Patients can also compare their own symptoms with common vaginitis to understand their condition and cooperate with doctors for treatment, which has a great impact on the treatment effect.

The most common symptoms of vaginitis are excessive vaginal discharge, burning and itching of the vulva and vagina, dysuria due to external causes, and erythema of the vulva (fungal or candidal vulvovaginitis). Typical vaginal discharge is curd-like or lumpy, the vaginal mucosa is highly red and swollen, and white thrush-like patches can be seen attached and easily peeled off, with an eroded base of damaged mucosa or shallow ulcers. In severe cases, ecchymosis may remain.

However, not all leucorrhea has the above typical characteristics. It can range from watery to curd-like leucorrhea. For example, some are completely thin and clear serous exudates, which often contain white flakes. Among the symptoms of vaginal candidiasis during pregnancy, itching is particularly severe, and even restlessness and abnormal pain may occur. There may also be symptoms of vaginal inflammation such as frequent urination, dysuria and sexual intercourse pain. In addition, about 10% of women and 30% of pregnant women are carriers of fungi, but have no clinical symptoms.

Vaginitis is a common gynecological disease and a problem that troubles many women. With the development of medical technology, new treatments for vaginitis have been emerging, each with its own advantages in alleviating the symptoms of vaginitis. The symptoms of vaginitis are the premise for choosing a treatment method and cannot be ignored.
