Criteria for grading cervical erosion based on symptoms

Criteria for grading cervical erosion based on symptoms

By analyzing the symptoms of cervical erosion, the condition can be divided into three levels: mild, medium and severe. Patients can do some simple analysis by observing the leucorrhea and pain. In medicine, this classification is extremely strict. The following is an introduction on how to classify the condition based on the symptoms of cervical erosion .

When the squamous epithelium of the vaginal part of the cervix is partially or completely replaced by columnar epithelium, granular red areas can be seen with the naked eye or under a colposcope, which is a symptom of cervical erosion. The essence of the symptom of cervical erosion is that the columnar epithelium in the cervical canal overproliferates and extends outside the cervix under the stimulation of higher estrogen levels.

The symptoms of cervical erosion are increased vaginal discharge, the need to use sanitary pads at all times, bleeding during sexual intercourse, and too smooth intercourse with little friction.

The proportion of the red area of cervical erosion to the cervix can be divided into three degrees.

Mild erosion: The erosion area occupies less than 1/3 of the entire cervical area;

Moderate erosion: The erosion area accounts for 1/3 to 2/3 of the entire cervical area;

Severe erosion: The erosion area occupies more than 2/3 of the entire cervical area.

This is the standard for grading the symptoms of cervical erosion, which is scientifically based. No matter what type of cervical erosion it is, its harm to the patient's life and work cannot be ignored. The symptoms of cervical erosion are easily confused with common gynecological diseases, which requires patients to go to regular medical institutions for diagnosis.
