Is menopause amenorrhea?

Is menopause amenorrhea?

Women will enter menopause at around 45 years old. The menstruation of menopausal women will gradually decrease and eventually stop. Is this process amenorrhea? Experts point out that after women enter menopause, they will gradually enter the perimenopausal period. At this stage, sometimes there will be irregular menstruation, spotty menstruation, and eventually stop menstruation. This is not what medicine calls amenorrhea. So, why do menopausal women stop menstruating?

Girls will have menstruation after they develop, and they will stop menstruating when they get older. If there is a problem with menstruation, it often means that there is something wrong with the woman's body, so menstruation and menopause are very important to women's health. The ovaries are organs unique to women, secreting estrogen and progesterone to control menstruation. The ovaries release eggs once a month, basically one at a time, and if they release more than one egg, there may be twins.

The menopause of women is closely related to the ovaries. The life span of the ovaries is different from that of the body, and it is earlier. There are many follicles in the ovaries. These follicles are present when the girl is in her mother's belly, which is equivalent to a fortune given by your mother. There are about 7 million follicles. When you are born, there are only 2 million follicles left. When you get pregnant for the first time, there are only 300,000 or 400,000 left. We have 10 or 12 follicles a year. The reproductive period with menstruation is more than 30 or 40 years. There is one follicle a month. If you have normal menstruation in your life, you will have more than 400 follicles. How many children can you have? In China, most people can only have one child. Therefore, most of the follicles are actually useless, and almost none of them are left until menopause. Without follicles, the life span of the ovaries is basically over.

Therefore, menopausal women must pay attention to health care before and after menopause to help themselves safely through menopause.
