Amenorrhea caused by excessive exercise and its treatment

Amenorrhea in young female athletes during sports competitions or intense training is called sports amenorrhea. Some young women may also experience amenorrhea when traveling or during intense work and study. The pathogenesis is similar to this disease and can also be treated with reference to sports amenorrhea. This disease is often related to excessive mental stress, which leads to endocrine dysfunction. According to traditional Chinese medicine, amenorrhea is caused by excessive mental stress, disordered Qi movement, Chong and Ren dysfunction, and inability of the blood sea to fill up.

If there are no symptoms, there is no need for treatment, as menstruation will come naturally once the tension is relieved. If there are symptoms, and the tension has been relieved and menstruation has not come, active treatment should be given.

The main symptoms are: female athletes in sports competitions or intense training, as well as young women traveling, over-stressed at work or study, experience infrequent menstruation, scanty menstruation, or blood clots, or even amenorrhea, often accompanied by lower abdominal pain, breast and chest pain, abdominal distension and discomfort, belching, loss of appetite, back pain, dark tongue or petechiae, and stringy or astringent pulse.
