A brief analysis of the five common causes of dysmenorrhea

Dysmenorrhea is a gynecological disease that occurs frequently before and after menstruation. Many female friends suffer from dysmenorrhea. What are the common causes of dysmenorrhea ? Here are some common causes of dysmenorrhea.

In general, the common causes of dysmenorrhea are:

1. The content of prostaglandins (PG) in the endometrium and menstrual blood increases. Prostaglandin E2 (PGE2) acts on the uterine muscle fibers to contract and cause dysmenorrhea. The content of prostaglandins in the endometrial tissue of menstrual patients is significantly higher than that of normal women. This is one of the common causes of dysmenorrhea.

2. Excessive contraction of the uterus. This is also a common cause of dysmenorrhea. Although the uterine contraction pressure of dysmenorrhea patients is basically the same as that of normal women (normal pressure is about 4.9Kpa), the uterine contraction lasts longer and is often difficult to completely relax, so dysmenorrhea caused by excessive uterine contraction occurs.

3. Abnormal uterine contraction. Patients with dysmenorrhea often have abnormal uterine contraction, which often leads to ischemia of uterine smooth muscle. Uterine muscle ischemia can cause spasmodic contraction of uterine muscle, resulting in pain and dysmenorrhea.

4. Gynecological diseases such as endometriosis, pelvic inflammatory disease, adenomyosis, uterine fibroids, etc. are all causes of dysmenorrhea. Placing an intrauterine device (commonly known as an IUD) in the uterus can also easily cause dysmenorrhea.

5. Dysmenorrhea is caused by the first menstruation of girls, psychological pressure, long-term sitting leading to poor blood circulation, poor menstrual blood flow, and a preference for cold food. This is also a cause of dysmenorrhea.

The above is an introduction to the common causes of dysmenorrhea. I believe everyone has some understanding of this. For more questions about the causes of dysmenorrhea, you can consult our online experts, who will give you detailed answers.
