Early symptoms of ectopic pregnancy

Early symptoms of ectopic pregnancy

Ectopic pregnancy is a dangerous acute abdominal disease in gynecology, and we must be highly vigilant about it. Once menstruation stops, abdominal pain and vaginal bleeding occur, we should go to the hospital for examination and diagnosis immediately. And timely rescue can reduce or prevent abdominal bleeding and avoid serious consequences due to excessive bleeding.

Common causes of ectopic pregnancy are salpingitis and adhesions, such as chronic salpingitis, tuberculosis, endometriosis, etc.

Early symptoms of ectopic pregnancy:

1. Abdominal pain

The patient will feel a tearing pain in the lower abdomen on one side, often accompanied by nausea and vomiting.

2. Menopause

Before tubal pregnancy abortion or rupture, symptoms and signs are not obvious. In addition to short-term amenorrhea and pregnancy symptoms, sometimes there is bloating and pain in one side of the lower abdomen. During examination, the fallopian tube is normal or swollen.

3. Vaginal bleeding

Bleeding is usually minor.

4. Syncope and shock

Due to acute intra-abdominal bleeding, blood volume reduction and severe abdominal pain may occur. Mild cases often cause syncope, while severe cases may experience shock.

5. Other symptoms

Can be nauseous

Ectopic pregnancy, vomiting, frequent urination. The symptoms of ectopic pregnancy are often atypical. Some patients may go into shock due to heavy bleeding, become pale, and have low blood pressure.

Under normal circumstances, when a woman becomes pregnant and the embryo is implanted in the uterine cavity, it is called an intrauterine pregnancy. If it is implanted somewhere outside the uterine cavity, it is called an ectopic pregnancy, also known as an ectopic pregnancy in medicine. The most common site of ectopic pregnancy is the fallopian tube, and a few can also be seen in the ovaries, cervix, etc. If the surviving fertilized egg in the fallopian tube pregnancy falls off in the abdominal cavity, and occasionally continues to grow on the abdominal organs such as the greater omentum, it will form an abdominal pregnancy. If the fertilized egg implanted in the fallopian tube separates from the tube wall and flows into the abdominal cavity, it will form a tubal pregnancy abortion; if the fertilized egg villi penetrate the tube wall and rupture, it will form a tubal pregnancy rupture; both can cause intra-abdominal bleeding, but the latter is more serious, often leading to shock due to a large amount of internal bleeding, and even life-threatening.

What are the symptoms of ectopic pregnancy? Women of childbearing age may experience delayed menstruation, sometimes accompanied by early pregnancy reactions such as anorexia and nausea, indicating that they are pregnant but suddenly experience lower abdominal pain, which may persist or recur, accompanied by nausea, vomiting, anal prolapse and other discomforts. In severe cases, the patient may be pale, sweat, have cold limbs, and even faint or go into shock. Some patients may have irregular vaginal bleeding, which is generally less than the amount of menstruation (be careful not to mistake this for menstruation). Therefore, the typical symptoms of ectopic pregnancy can be summarized into three major symptoms, namely: amenorrhea, abdominal pain, and vaginal bleeding.

Will there be early pregnancy reactions in ectopic pregnancy?

Ectopic pregnancy is also called ectopic pregnancy. It is a pregnancy caused by the fertilized egg implanting outside the uterus. Ectopic pregnancy is extremely harmful. Early detection and early treatment of ectopic pregnancy are very important. Will there be early pregnancy reactions in ectopic pregnancy?

Although ectopic pregnancy is not a normal pregnancy, it is still a pregnancy after all. Therefore, ectopic pregnancy will also have early pregnancy reactions, and some ectopic pregnancy patients will still have early pregnancy symptoms. In addition to early pregnancy reactions, ectopic pregnancy patients will also have the following very typical symptoms:

1. Amenorrhea: Most patients have a short history of amenorrhea before ectopic pregnancy occurs, and at the same time have early pregnancy reactions, such as nausea, vomiting, etc., and the pregnancy test may be positive;

2. Diarrhea: Patients with ectopic pregnancy may also experience diarrhea. If the condition is not carefully analyzed, it can easily be considered as indigestion or intestinal emergency.

3. Vaginal bleeding: After the embryo dies, there is often irregular vaginal bleeding, which is mostly spot-like, dark brown in color, small in amount, generally not exceeding the amount of menstruation, and dripping;

4. Pale complexion: pale face in a short period of time, as pale as paper, accompanied by dry mouth, palpitations, fear of cold, and fatigue;

5. Abdominal pain: The incidence rate is 95%. Abdominal pain is caused by a variety of factors such as fallopian tube enlargement, rupture, and blood irritation to the peritoneum. It is often a sudden tearing or paroxysmal pain on one side of the lower abdomen, accompanied by nausea and vomiting.

6. Syncope and shock: Due to acute intra-abdominal bleeding, it may cause decreased blood volume and severe abdominal pain. Mild cases often experience syncope, while severe cases may experience shock.
