Lymphadenitis in the abdomen of a child

Lymphadenitis in the abdomen of a child

Treatment for abdominal lymphadenitis in children includes anti-infection treatment and symptomatic treatment. Common causes include bacterial or viral infection, abnormal immune response, etc. For infection, the doctor may prescribe antibiotics such as amoxicillin, cefaclor or azithromycin; for pain, ibuprofen or acetaminophen can be used to relieve symptoms. At the same time, pay attention to a light diet, avoid spicy and irritating foods, drink plenty of water, and keep rest.

1. Bacterial or viral infection is a common cause of lymphadenitis in children. Bacterial infections such as streptococci or staphylococci, and viral infections such as Epstein-Barr virus or adenovirus can all cause swollen lymph nodes. In terms of treatment, bacterial infections require antibiotics, while viral infections are mainly treated symptomatically, such as antipyretics and analgesics.

2. Abnormal immune response may also cause lymphadenitis. When the immune system overreacts to certain stimuli, the lymph nodes will swell. This condition usually does not require special treatment and can be improved by enhancing immunity and supplementing nutrients such as vitamin C and zinc.

3. Improper diet or digestive system problems may aggravate symptoms. It is recommended to provide children with easily digestible foods, such as rice porridge, noodles, steamed eggs, etc., and avoid fried, spicy, or overly cold or overheated foods. At the same time, appropriate amounts of probiotics are supplemented to help regulate intestinal flora.

4. Maintaining adequate rest and good living habits will help recovery. Avoid overwork in children, ensure 8-10 hours of sleep a day, and do some light activities such as walking to promote blood circulation and immunity.

The treatment of abdominal lymphadenitis in children needs to be targeted according to the specific cause. At the same time, pay attention to diet and rest, and seek medical treatment in time when necessary to ensure that the condition is effectively controlled.
