Causes of abnormal itching of vaginal discharge

Abnormal vaginal discharge accompanied by itching may be a sign of vaginitis, vulvitis or other gynecological diseases, and you need to see a doctor in time. Leucorrhea is a "barometer" of the health of the female reproductive system. Under normal circumstances, it is transparent or milky white and has no odor. But when the color, texture or smell of vaginal discharge changes and it is accompanied by itching, it is likely to indicate that there is a problem with the body.

Common causes of abnormal vaginal discharge and itching include bacterial vaginitis, candidal vaginitis, and trichomonas vaginitis. Bacterial vaginitis usually manifests as increased vaginal discharge, grayish white, and fishy; candidal vaginitis causes vaginal discharge to be dregs-like and itchy; and trichomonas vaginitis causes vaginal discharge to be yellow-green, foamy, and accompanied by a peculiar smell. Vulvar eczema, allergic reactions, or changes in hormone levels may also cause similar symptoms.

In daily life, it is very important to keep the private parts clean and dry. Avoid using irritating lotions and choose mild water for washing. Wear cotton underwear and avoid tight clothing to reduce local friction and stuffiness. In terms of diet, eat less spicy and sweet foods and eat more foods rich in vitamins and fiber to help enhance immunity. If the symptoms persist or worsen, it is recommended to see a doctor as soon as possible. The doctor will prescribe medication according to the specific situation, such as antibiotics, antifungal drugs or hormone drugs.

Do not take medication or folk remedies on your own to avoid delaying the disease or aggravating symptoms. Regular gynecological examinations are also an important measure to prevent abnormal leucorrhea, especially for married or sexually active women. It is recommended to have a gynecological examination every year to better maintain reproductive health through early detection and early treatment.
