Obesity and reproductive incompetence malnutrition: Hypothalamic lesions such as craniopharyngioma can cause amenorrhea, obesity, and incomplete development of reproductive organs and secondary sexual characteristics. This is also one of the causes of amenorrhea.

2. Drug inhibition syndrome: A small number of women may develop amenorrhea after injection of long-acting contraceptive injections or oral contraceptives. This is caused by the hypothalamus being particularly sensitive to the inhibitory reaction of drugs. This inhibition is often reversible and generally recovers naturally within 3 to 6 months after stopping the drug.

3. Psychoneural factors: Mental stress, fear, anxiety, mental illness such as schizophrenia, environmental changes, regional migration, and cold stimulation can all cause dysfunction between the central nervous system and the hypothalamus. Generally, the ovarian ovulation function is impaired first, and then the follicle maturation is impaired, leading to amenorrhea. False pregnancy caused by mental factors such as eagerness to have a child or fear of pregnancy also falls into this category.
