Even combined with vegetable and fruit fiber intake, it can effectively reduce the risk of weight regain.

According to a study conducted by a research team from the University of Michigan, people who are dehydrated have a higher body mass index (BMI) than those who are well hydrated. In addition, although "drinking more water is fine", the following three groups should limit their water intake:

1. People with heart disease should not drink too much water: because after a large amount of water enters the human body and is absorbed, the amount of body fluid will increase significantly, making the blood thinner and the blood volume increased, which increases the workload on the heart. The heart has to increase the strength and speed of blood delivery, which can easily cause health risks.

2. People with kidney disease should not drink too much water: Since these patients have renal insufficiency and reduced glomerular filtration rate, they are unable to excrete water and electrolytes normally. If they drink water without restraint at this time, it will increase the burden on the kidneys and cause edema.

3. It is not advisable to drink too much water in liver failure: because liver disease can cause albumin (maintaining plasma colloidal osmotic pressure) synthesis disorders. When the plasma colloidal osmotic pressure decreases, it will cause excessive accumulation of water in the tissues, often manifested as pleural effusion, ascites and lower limb edema. At this time, drinking water should be limited.
