Fruit milkshakes hide danger! More sugar than a can of Coke

What women who love beauty fear most is taking in excess calories and gaining weight. Therefore, many people choose meal replacement shakes made from a variety of fruit concentrates as a source of nutritional supplements. Although milkshakes are nutritious, one has to pay more attention to the sugar and calories they contain, which are also very alarming. The British website "Which?" conducted its own investigation on the ingredients of milkshake products on the market and found that one can of milkshake contains 30 grams of sugar, which is more than a can of Coke (26.5g).

The British Daily Mail quoted a survey by the well-known consumer information website "Which?", pointing out that more than 30% of the public believe that drinking more than 2 cans of milkshakes a week is within a reasonable range, and 10% believe that drinking 5 cans a week is not too much; but what is not known is that the sugar content in milkshakes is actually much higher than imagined, and at most you can only drink 2 cans a week to avoid taking in too much sugar and calories.

A nutritional analysis was conducted on the 52 main types of milkshakes on the market. For example, a can of berry-flavored milkshake contains blackberries, strawberries, black currants, white grapes, apples, oranges, and bananas. It is difficult for ordinary people to eat so many fruits in one meal. However, due to the concentration, the amount of sugar contained in a can of milkshake exceeds the recommended amount for one meal. If it replaces a regular meal too frequently, the amount of sugar consumed is also very alarming, which will cause the same damage to the teeth as drinking cola.

However, fruit milkshakes are indeed much better than cola in terms of nutritional value. Just be careful not to replace regular meals with milkshakes every day. Drinking a milkshake occasionally to supplement insufficient fruit intake will not do much harm to your health. The best way is to choose natural fruits directly, which not only doubles the sense of fullness, but also allows you to consume high fiber that is not available in milkshakes.
