The National Laboratory has announced that it can detect 7 beta-receptors

In order to allow all sectors to better understand the testing process of clenbuterol and allow the public to eat with peace of mind, the Food and Drug Administration has specially opened the National Food and Drug Inspection Laboratory to the media for a visit and experience today, the 17th. The high performance liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometer was demonstrated on site to be able to analyze seven types of beta-receptor agonists including clenbuterol, semanterol, ractopamine, salbutamol, terbutaline, tulobuterol and zilpaterol.

In order to let all parties better understand the testing process of clenbuterol and let the public feel at ease when eating, the Food and Drug Administration opened the media to visit and experience the National Food and Drug Inspection Laboratory.

Following I-Mei's opening of its laboratory to the media, the Food and Drug Administration also officially opened its national inspection laboratory for the media to visit. Director Kang Zhaozhou said that the recent news focus has been on the inspection and research of beta-receptor agonists for animal use. The agency has established and announced an extremely sensitive and accurate inspection method, using a high-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometer to simultaneously analyze seven beta-receptor agonists, including clenbuterol, semanterol, ractopamine, salbutamol, terbutaline, tulobuterol and zilpaterol.

In its daily work, the National Laboratory continues to develop and research various testing methods every year. The laboratories of the Northern, Central and Southern Regional Management Centers of the Bureau also conduct quality safety monitoring and investigations on commercially available products to ensure that the people of Taiwan can have a consumption environment where "medicine is safe and food is safe." In the case of the plasticizer incident, the national laboratory demonstrated its proactive and sensitive detection capabilities.
