Are uterine polyps the same as uterine fibroids?

Nowadays, there are more and more diseases that maintain women's health, so we must take them seriously. So, are uterine polyps the same as uterine fibroids?

1. Menstrual changes: The most common symptoms are menstruation, tumor growth, prolonged menstruation, and irregular vaginal bleeding.

2. Hypoglycemia: Hypoglycemia is also rare in uterine fibroids. Most cases have low fasting blood sugar, leading to loss of consciousness and shock, and then after glucose injection, the symptoms can completely disappear. Hypoglycemia completely disappears after tumor resection.

3. Increased vaginal discharge: Increased vaginal discharge, sometimes with a large amount of pus drainage, and discharge of slough-like tissue with a foul odor.

4. Pain: Generally, patients have no abdominal pain, but often have abdominal distension, low back pain, etc. When the fibroids twist under the serosal membrane, the fibroids may cause acute abdominal pain, severe abdominal pain and fever, and turn red.

5. Compression symptoms: When growing forward or backward, fibroids can compress the bladder, urethra or anus, causing frequent urination, dysuria, urinary retention or constipation. When fibroids grow on both sides, they usually form ligament fibroids, which compress the ureter and cause ureteral or hydronephrosis; due to pelvic blood vessels and lymphatic vessels, swelling and compression can occur.

6. Infertility: The trumpet is compressed so that the fibroids are twisted and deformed, thereby preventing or enabling the injection of the matrix, thus leading to infertility.

7. Secondary anemia: If the patient suffers from long-term menorrhagia and postpartum anemia, symptoms such as general fatigue, pale complexion, difficulty breathing, palpitations, etc.

8. Left ventricular mass: distended abdomen, a mass felt in the lower abdomen, accompanied by a feeling of heaviness.
