Traditional Chinese Medicine Treatment of Adenomyosis Post-pregnancy Bleeding is Similar to Menstruation:

1. Qi stagnation and blood stasis

Treatment: Soothe the liver and regulate qi, promote blood circulation and remove blood stasis.

Prescription: Xiangling Pills with added ingredients. 15g of costusroot, 10g of clove, 15g of three-edged lanceolate, 15g of curcuma, 15g of fructus aurantii, 10g of green peel, 15g of Chuanlianzi, 15g of fennel, 15g of leech, 15g of chicken gizzard lining. If the abdominal pain is severe, 15g of frankincense, 15g of myrrh, and 15g of corydalis; if the menstrual flow is heavy, remove the leech and chicken gizzard lining and add 7.5g of Panax notoginseng powder; if the qi and blood are weak, 30g of Astragalus, 20g of Codonopsis, and 15g of Atractylodes.

2. Cold and blood stasis

Treatment: Warming the meridians and dispelling cold, promoting blood circulation and removing blood stasis.

Prescription: Shaofu Zhuyu Decoction with added ingredients. 15g of fennel, 15g of roasted ginger, 15g of corydalis, 15g of lindera, 15g of myrrh, 10g of chuanxiong, 20g of angelica, 15g of pollen, 10g of cinnamon, 15g of red peony root, 20g of turtle shell, 10g of chicken gizzard lining, 15g of three-edged lanceolate, 15g of zedoaria. For menorrhagia, you can remove chuanxiong and angelica, and add 7.5g of notoginseng powder and 10g of xuedu charcoal; if the spleen is weak, add 20 g of codonopsis, 20g of astragalus, 20g of atractylodes, and 20g of yam.

Adenomyosis, do not eat acidic foods: Acidic foods have astringent effects, causing blood stagnation, which is not conducive to the smooth flow and discharge of menstruation and blood, so patients with dysmenorrhea should try to avoid eating such foods during menstruation. Acidic foods include rice vinegar, spicy vegetables, kimchi, dates, mangoes, apricots, plums, lemons, etc.
